A flavor bomb just went off in your mouth yet it does not overpower the food it accompanies. This sauce has some heat as you would expect from a red curry but not so much that you need a glass of milk to cool off your tongue.

A cornucopia of flavors. First Smell: red curry, coconut milk, garlic, yum. First bite: KAAAA POWWWW! A flavor bomb just went off in your mouth yet it does not overpower the food it accompanies. This sauce has some heat as you would expect from a red curry but not so much that you need a glass of milk to cool off your tongue. The plate comes together nicely on something like shrimp, vegetables and a basmati rice. It also wakes up chicken or pork beautifully and brings a plate together perfectly.
INGREDIENTS: WATER, COCONUT MILK (COCONUT MILK, WATER, GUAR GUM), ROASTED ONION, FRESH VINE-RIPENED CALIFORNIA TOMATOES (TOMATO JUICE, CALCIUM CHLORIDE, CITRIC ACID), POBLANO PEPPER, GINGER PUREE (GINGER, CITRIC ACID), MUSTARD (DISTILLED VINEGAR, WATER, #1 GRADE MUSTARD SEED, SALT, CHARDONNAY WINE, CITRIC ACID, TARTARIC ACID, SPICES AND TURMERIC), CURRY POWDER, SEA SALT, NON-MODIFIED CORN STARCH, OLIVE OIL, VEGETABLE STOCK (WHITE WINE (CONTAINS SULFITES NATURALLY OCCURRING IN WINE), CARROT STOCK, ONION STOCK, CELERY STOCK, LEMON JUICE (WATER, LEMON JUICE CONCENTRATE), TOMATO PASTE, WATER, SALT, CARRAGEENAN, ROASTED GARLIC POWDER, ONION POWDER, SPICES), PURE CANE SUGAR, CUMIN, CORIANDER, GARAM MASALA (BLACK PEPPER, WHITE PEPPER, CLOVES, CINNAMON, NUTMEG, CARDAMOM, BAY LEAF, CUMIN), LIME JUICE CONCENTRATE, LACTIC ACID, CILANTRO, NATURAL FLAVOR

Coconut Red Curry is typically associated with a “sweet & heat” profile, but this sauce is a pleasant departure. It has a fragrant taste that balances a hint of sweet and warmth (not spicy hot) for a great “wake up” to fish or chicken. My wife doesn’t like a lot of spice and this sauce was a great compromise and we both loved it. It also goes well with shrimp and scallops. Definitely a keeper in the refrigerator to add great finishing flavor.

Wanted to make some Thai inspired shrimp for my family but didn’t have the time or energy to make a sauce to go with it. A friend recommended Le Sauce and I was very, very impressed by their Coconut Thai Red Curry. Couldn’t have possibly made something better myself.
