Easter Simple Pot Roast with Le Sauce & Co. Beefy French Onion Gourmet Gravy 

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound beef chuck roast

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1-2 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 1 pouch Le Sauce & Co. Beefy French Onion Gourmet Gravy

  • 1 small onion, quartered

  • 2 carrots, peeled and cut into large chunks

  • 4 small potatoes, peeled and cut into large chunks

  • 1 sprig of fresh thyme (optional)

  • 1 bay leaf (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

  2. Prepare the Beef:

    • Season the beef chuck roast generously with salt and pepper on all sides.

  3. Sear the Beef:

    • In a Dutch oven or oven-safe pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and sear on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.

  4. Sauté the Vegetables:

    • In the same pot, add the quartered onion, carrot chunks, and potato chunks. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the vegetables start to brown slightly.

  5. Deglaze the Pot:

    • Pour in the beef broth and stir, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pot.

  6. Add the Beef and Gravy:

    • Return the seared beef to the pot. Pour the Le Sauce & Co. Beefy French Onion Gourmet Gravy over the beef and vegetables. Add the sprig of thyme and bay leaf if using.

  7. Cook the Pot Roast:

    • Cover the pot with a lid and place it in the preheated oven. Cook for about 2-2.5 hours, or until the beef is tender and can be easily shredded with a fork.

  8. Serve:

    • Remove the pot roast from the oven. Discard the thyme sprig and bay leaf.

    • Slice or shred the beef and serve it with the cooked vegetables. Spoon the rich gravy from the pot over the beef and vegetables.
