Classic Marinara Stuffed Pepper

Ingredients
- 2 large bell peppers (any color)
- 200g (7 oz) ground bison
- 1/2 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
- 1 pouch Le Sauce & Co. Classic Marinara Gourmet Pasta Sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Olive oil, for drizzling
- Optional: Burrata cheese and fresh basil for garnish
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C)
Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds. Lightly drizzle the insides with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground bison until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in the cooked rice and half of the Le Sauce Classic Marinara. Mix well to combine.
Fill each bell pepper with the bison and rice mixture. Place them upright in a baking dish. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed peppers and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Once baked, remove from the oven. If desired, add a dollop of burrata on top of each pepper and garnish with fresh basil.
- Serve warm and enjoy your delicious stuffed peppers!
