Ingredients:

4 cube steaks (about 1/2 pound each)

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

1 cup buttermilk (or regular milk)

2 eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (or more flour for a double-dip method)

Instructions:

Prepare the Bread Coatings:

In one shallow bowl, mix the flour with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

In a second shallow bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and egg.

Place the breadcrumbs in a third shallow bowl (or additional flour if you prefer a double-dip coating).

Bread the Steaks:

Pat the cube steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
