Le Sauce & Co.’s Quick & Delicious Spicy Pomodoro Lasagna

Ingredients:

  • 6 lasagna noodles (oven-ready or pre-cooked according to package instructions)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 pouch Le Sauce & Co. Spicy Pomodoro gourmet pasta sauce
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, combine  ricotta cheese, half of the shredded mozzarella, half of the grated Parmesan, egg, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well  and set aside..
  3. Assemble the Lasagna: In a small baking dish, spread a thin layer of Le Sauce & CO. Spicy Pomodoro pasta sauce. Place two lasagna noodles on top of the sauce. Add a layer of the filling, then add a layer of the spicy pomodoro sauce. Repeat this process until you've used all the noodles and filling, finishing with a layer of sauce on top.
  4. Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheeses on top of the final sauce layer.
  5. Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Then, uncover and bake for an additional 7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges are golden brown.
  6. Let it Rest: Allow the lasagna to rest for a few minutes before slicing. This helps the layers set and makes it easier to serve.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.

This quick and easy lasagna recipe is perfect for a cozy dinner for two. Pair it with a side salad or some garlic bread for a complete and satisfying meal. Enjoy!
