Le Sauce & Co.’s Quick & Delicious Spicy Pomodoro Lasagna
Ingredients:
- 6 lasagna noodles (oven-ready or pre-cooked according to package instructions)
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 pouch Le Sauce & Co. Spicy Pomodoro gourmet pasta sauce
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the shredded mozzarella, half of the grated Parmesan, egg, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside..
- Assemble the Lasagna: In a small baking dish, spread a thin layer of Le Sauce & CO. Spicy Pomodoro pasta sauce. Place two lasagna noodles on top of the sauce. Add a layer of the filling, then add a layer of the spicy pomodoro sauce. Repeat this process until you've used all the noodles and filling, finishing with a layer of sauce on top.
- Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheeses on top of the final sauce layer.
- Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Then, uncover and bake for an additional 7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges are golden brown.
- Let it Rest: Allow the lasagna to rest for a few minutes before slicing. This helps the layers set and makes it easier to serve.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
