Pan-Seared Bison Steak with Roasted Potatoes & Sautéed Onions & Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 8 oz ground bison shaped into steak-like patties
  • 1 pouch Le Sauce & Co. Savory Mushroom Gourmet Gravy
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • ½ small onion, sliced
  • 6–8 asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Set the oven to 400°F.

  2. Toss diced potatoes with 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread them on a baking sheet and roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Season the bison steaks with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook for about 3–4 minutes per side (or until desired doneness). Remove from heat and let rest.
  7. In the same skillet, add butter and sliced onions. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened. Add asparagus and cook for another 3–4 minutes until tender but crisp.
  8. Heat the Savory Mushroom gourmet gravy in a microwave safe dish for 30-45 seconds
  9. Plate the bison steaks with roasted potatoes and sautéed onions & asparagus, and drizzle with Savory Mushroom Gourmet Gravy.
