Fried Turkey Cutlet with Carrots, Leeks, and Potatoes Using Le Sauce & Co. Thanksgiving Turkey Gourmet Gravy (2 Servings)
Ingredients:
-
2 turkey cutlets
-
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
-
1 egg, beaten
-
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
-
1/2 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
-
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
-
1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
-
2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil (for frying)
-
2 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
-
1 large leek, cleaned and sliced (white and light green parts only)
-
2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
-
1 pouch Le Sauce & Co. Thanksgiving Turkey Gourmet Gravy
-
1 tablespoon butter
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Vegetables:
-
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced carrots, leeks, and diced potatoes.
-
Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10-12 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and keep warm.
-
Prepare the Breading Station:
-
Set up three shallow bowls or plates: one with flour, one with the beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
-
Bread the Turkey Cutlets:
-
Pat the turkey cutlets dry with paper towels. Dredge each cutlet in the flour, shaking off any excess.
-
Dip the floured cutlets into the beaten egg, ensuring they are fully coated.
-
Press the cutlets into the breadcrumb mixture, coating them evenly on all sides.
-
Fry the Turkey Cutlets:
-
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil or vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
-
Add the breaded turkey cutlets to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
-
Remove the cutlets from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
-
Heat the Gravy:
-
While the turkey cutlets are frying, heat the Le Sauce & Co. Thanksgiving Turkey Gourmet Gravy in a small saucepan over medium heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally.
-
Serve:
-
Plate the fried turkey cutlets alongside the sautéed carrots, leeks, and potatoes.
-
Generously pour the warmed Thanksgiving Turkey Gourmet Gravy over the turkey cutlets.
-
Garnish (Optional):
-
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a touch of color and added flavor.
Enjoy your delicious and easy fried turkey cutlet dinner with carrots, leeks, potatoes, and Le Sauce & Co. Thanksgiving Turkey Gourmet Gravy!
